Sacred Music

Choir: The St. John Chrysostom Church liturgical choir delivers traditional music of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese, primarily in English, with 4-part vocal selections based on the eight tones of byzantine music as well as traditional Russian arrangements.

The choir takes an active role in the liturgical life of the church, participating in services every week at Divine Liturgy as well as special services throughout the year.  Additionally, the choir has participated in sacred music festivals at Midwest Parish Life Conferences and hierarchical liturgies.

Chanting: Chanters at St. John Chrysostom Church provide monophonic byzantine melodies for services including Vespers, Matins, and special services as needed.
